Traditionally textiles are made by women, the preparation of dyes and dyeing is completed by women. They are proud to wear clothes they made on their own.
Materials used in textile creation are home grown; for example: hmong hemp is taken from the cool mountain, silk is made from ravenous worms and cotton from organic fields to produce yarns for soft cloths.
In this class, you will get a true experience with natural dye preparation and complete 3 color dyes. After finishing the class, you will take home 3 dyed silk skeins.
